  1. DOGWORLD v1.53 Quick Install
  2.  
  3. Upgrading from version 1.41 or above to v1.53:
  4.  
  5. STEP 1:
  6.   If your existing game is running multinode, you should run the
  7. batch file NO-LAN.BAT before attempting the upgrade so that the
  8. neccessary files will be updated.
  9.  
  10. STEP 2:
  11.   Unzip the DogWorld upgrade into your existing DogWorld directory
  12. overwriting the existing files or unzip into an empty directory
  13. and then copy the new files to your existing DogWorld directory.
  14. Your players will not be affected.
  15.  
  16. STEP 3:
  17.   If you are running multinode, you should now run the batch file
  18. DO-LAN.BAT to put the read-only attribute back on the main DogWorld
  19. files. This is mainly a precaution for Lantastic systems.
  20.  
  21. STEP 4:
  22.   Run DOGEDIT.EXE and change any of the new settings to suit your
  23. needs. There is NO need to reset the game.

  26.     WARNING!! It is always a good idea to backup your entire DogWorld
  27. directory before attempting an upgrade. If something does go wrong, it
  28. is better to be safe than sorry!
